Power supply will remain suspended for 10 hours in several areas of Sylhet city on Wednesday due to transformer repair and maintenance, development of electric cable lines and trimming of tree branches.
The Sylhet Sales and Distribution Division-2 of the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) announced the information in a notice issued on Tuesday.
According to the notice, electricity supply will be suspended from 7am to 5pm on Wednesday in the areas under the 11 kV Shibganj feeder — including Shibganj Point, Shibganj Sonarpara, Time Square and surrounding areas — as well as under the 11 kV Upashahar feeder — including Shahjalal Upashahar Block A, Bangladesh Bank Quarters, Block C, Teroratan, Traffic Office of Block J, and adjacent areas.
However, power supply will be restored earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.
