The “10th Communication and Journalism Educators’ Network (CJEN) Conference 2025,” organized by the Media and Mass Communication (MMC) Department of the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), was held on Friday–Saturday at the AIUB campus.
Conducted in collaboration with DW Akademie, this two-day conference was attended by media educators, professionals, and students from various universities across the country. The main theme of the conference was “Media Transformed: Bangladesh at a Crossroads.”
Dr Hasanul A Hasan, founder member, Board of Trustees of AIUB, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Jimi Amir, project manager of Deutsche Welle Akademie, attended as a special guest.
Other distinguished attendees included Dr Carmen Zita Lamagna, member of AIUB’s Board of Trustees and former vice-chancellor; AIUB Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saiful Islam; Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Abdur Rahman; Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Prof Dr Tajul Islam; MMC Department Advisor Dr AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan; as well as the registrar, proctor, faculty members, officers, and media professionals from various organizations.
The closing speech was delivered by MMC Department Head Rani Ellen V Ramos. Over the two days, the conference featured keynote presentations, panel discussions, and academic paper sessions.
The inaugural ceremony was held on Friday, with Professor Dr SMA Faiz, honorable chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, attending as the Chief Guest.
