Miscreants set fire to two government offices–Assistant Commissioner (AC-Land) office and Registry office– in Magura Sadar early Saturday.
According to AC (Land) Asma Akter, the miscreants broke a window at the back of the building around 3AM and hurled petrol bombs.
The fire engulfed a room on the ground, damaging computers and important land documents. Later firefighters and police managed to bring the blaze under control, he added.
Meanwhile, around 4:30AM, the attackers set fire to Magura Registry office, reports media.
Magura Sadar Police Station OC Md Ayub Ali said bottles containing petrol were recovered and a special drive is underway to identify the culprits. A case has been filed in this regard, he added, according to UNB news.
