Two people were killed and several others injured in a collision between a bus and motorcycles near the Tetulia Bridge in Rampal upazila of Bagerhat on Friday afternoon. The accident occurred around 1:30pm on the Khulna-Mongla Highway, leaving two bus passengers — Robin Gaine, 48, of Digraj, and Moin Uddin Tokon, 58, of Rupsa — dead on the spot. Police and fire service officials said the Mongla-bound bus collided head-on with a group of seven motorcycles. The bus overturned into a roadside ditch after the driver applied hard brakes. At least seven people were injured and taken to local hospitals, while one motorcyclist is in critical condition. Highway and Rampal police said traffic movement returned to normal after rescue operations.
