Police in Khulna’s Terokhada Upazila have recovered four bomb-like objects, while a separate explosion was reported in front of a house in Madhupur area of the same upazila.
According to media sources, three red polythene-wrapped containers resembling bombs were spotted Thursday morning at a local residence near the Bus Stand area of Terokhada Sadar union.
A local resident noticed the suspicious items around 6:15 AM while heading for his daily coaching classes and immediately informed the police. Terokhada police recovered the three cocktail-like objects from the scene.
Shortly afterward, another red container resembling a bomb was discovered under a taro tree along the Bypass Road by a female passerby.
Police promptly retrieved the object. On the same day, unidentified individuals also distributed leaflets in the New Bus Stand area under the banner of ‘Dhaka Lockdown’.
