Business leaders, policymakers, foreign investors, and entrepreneurs gathered at the “Investors Meetup 2.0 – 2025” on November 6 at Celebrity Convention Hall in Dhaka.

The event brought together participants from diverse industries with a shared goal—to accelerate business ease, promote sustainable investment, and strengthen Bangladesh’s position as a global investment hub.

Organized jointly by BDFairs, JCI Dhaka Achievers, and Sales Leaders Group Bangladesh, this networking event provided a dynamic platform for industrial and SME investors, startup founders, financial institutions, venture capitalists, and policy representatives to exchange insights, foster collaboration, and explore new investment opportunities.

The event was graced by chief guest Md Ariful Hoque, director general (joint secretary) of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida), and joined by guests including Nasir Khan, chairman and managing director of Jennys Shoes Limited and chairman of Bangladesh Shoe City Ltd (BSCL), and Md Fazlul Haque Mazumder, additional executive director (investment promotion) of Bepza.

Ariful Hoque emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts under Bida to enhance the ease of doing business, streamline licensing processes, and digitize the One-Stop Service (OSS) platform.

He highlighted that Bangladesh’s investment landscape is rapidly evolving, with an increasing focus on transparency, customs reform, and efficient regulatory systems to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

Organizers stated that Investors Meetup 2.0 successfully established an effective platform for open dialogue between government agencies and private sector stakeholders.

The initiative aims to identify key bottlenecks, propose actionable policy recommendations, and facilitate cross-border collaboration to make Bangladesh a more attractive destination for industrial and FDI growth.

Engr. A. Fattah Asif reaffirmed BDFairs’ commitment to continuing this dialogue: “Our goal is to use this platform not just for discussion, but for driving real change. We will prepare a detailed report based on today’s key findings and share it with all relevant authorities to inspire policy reformation and long-term impact.”
