A meeting between Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin and representatives from journalist organizations, Broadcast Journalist Center (BJC), Reporters Forum for Election and Democracy (RFED), and BBC Media Action, has begun.
The meeting started around 12pm on Sunday at the Election Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka.
During the meeting, the journalist organizations are expected to propose amendments to the existing guidelines for journalists covering elections.
The representatives will present a copy of their proposed amendments to the CEC and request that necessary steps be taken to revise the guidelines promptly.
The delegation includes RFED President Kazi Zebel, General Secretary Golam Rabbani, and others.
