Grameen Danone Foods Limited has been awarded First Runner-Up in the Social Impact Project of the Year (Small) category at the Bangladesh Project Management Awards 2025, organized by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Bangladesh Chapter.

The ceremony, held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden, celebrated organizations demonstrating excellence in project management and contributing to the country’s sustainable development.

Grameen Danone earned this recognition for its transformative Milk for School Program, implemented in partnership with Heifer International Korea and Heifer International Bangladesh.

The initiative, launched in Ullapara, Sirajganj, empowers local women dairy farmers by ensuring them a fair price for their milk through a dedicated Milk Chilling Center.

The collected milk is used to produce Shokti+ fortified yogurt, which is distributed free of cost to 2,245 schoolchildren in the community.

The program has created meaningful social and economic impact.

Through this initiative, Grameen Danone continues to promote women’s empowerment, child health, and sustainable livelihoods while contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Dipesh Nag, managing director of Grameen Danone Foods Limited, said: “We are honored to receive this recognition from PMI Bangladesh. The Milk for School Program reflects our commitment to building healthier communities through collaboration, innovation, and shared value creation.”

Since its inception, the PMI Bangladesh Chapter has been celebrating organizations and individuals who drive excellence in project management, leadership, and innovation to support Bangladesh’s progress and development.
