Three buses and a private car parked in different areas of Dhaka were set on fire overnight.

The incidents occurred in Jatrabari, the gate area of Bashundhara Residential Area, and Uttara. From midnight on Monday to early Tuesday, miscreants set the vehicles ablaze.

The information was confirmed by Rashed Bin Khalid, duty officer at the Fire Service control room. He said that four separate incidents of vehicle arson occurred between midnight and early morning, and all vehicles were parked at the time. Fire Service personnel quickly arrived at the scenes and brought the fires under control.

At 12:55am, in Rayerbagh, Jatrabari, a bus of Rajdhani Transport was set on fire. A Fire Service unit quickly extinguished the blaze.

Later, at 2:08am, another Rajdhani Transport bus caught fire in front of Ibn Sina Hospital, Jatrabari. Two Fire Service units controlled the fire around 2:30am.

At 2:35am, a private car was set on fire near the Bashundhara Gate area adjacent to 100 Feet Road. Fire Service and law enforcement personnel quickly extinguished the flames.

The last incident occurred at 4am in Khalpar, Sonargaon Janapad, Uttara, where another Rajdhani Transport bus was set ablaze. Firefighters brought the fire under control by 4:20am.

Earlier, on Monday morning, two buses of Akash and Victor Transport caught fire in Merul Badda and Shahjadpur. Later, around 7:30pm, a bus caught fire in front of LabAid Hospital in Dhanmondi.
