BNP leaders and activists in Dinajpur have begun election campaigning on behalf of the party’s chairperson, Khaleda Zia, who is contesting from the Dinajpur-3 (Sadar) constituency.

The campaign began on Friday afternoon after Jumma prayers, following a visit to the graves of Khaleda Zia’s family members at the Faridpur cemetery in the town.

District BNP President Mofazzal Hossain Dulal, General Secretary Bakhtiar Ahmed Kochi, and leaders from different levels of the district organization were present.

After the grave visit, BNP leaders carried out campaign activities in support of Khaleda Zia at Faridpur Gorostan Mor.

Leaders said that after discussions with BNP Standing Committee member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, they were instructed to visit the graves of Khaleda Zia’s family members and begin campaigning for her as the candidate for Dinajpur-3.

Following that directive, district leaders joined the program. Prayers were offered for the family members and for Khaleda Zia’s success with a large margin. They stated that Dinajpur BNP will continue all efforts to ensure her victory.

District BNP President Mofazzal Hossain Dulal said that the party chairperson is contesting from this constituency, and they have united to campaign for her.

He expressed confidence that she will win by a large margin and contribute to the socio-economic development of the area.

He added that her elder sister previously served as the MP for this constituency and carried out significant development, which they expect will continue.
