Miscreants set the July Memorial on fire near Pirojpur Central Shaheed Minar in Sadar upazila of Pirojpur district early Saturday.
Rabiul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said some unidentified people set the “July Memorial” on fire around 2am.
A portion of the memorial was gutted in the fire.
A total of 64 July memorials were built in 64 districts commemorating the martyrs of the July uprising.
