Two crude bombs (locally known as cocktails) exploded in front of the residence of Syeda Rizwana Hasan, adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Water Resources, in the capital’s Central Road area.
The explosions occurred at around 9pm on Sunday.
Kalabagan police station Officer-in-Charge Moniruzzaman Khan said: “At around 9pm, two cocktails exploded in front of Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan’s residence. Police are present at the scene. Efforts are underway to identify those involved by reviewing CCTV footage. No casualties have been reported in the incident.”
