Former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun was brought to the International Crimes Tribunal ahead of Monday’s verdict in the crimes against humanity case in which ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina is an accused as well.

A prison van escorted by police entered the tribunal premises around 9:05am, bringing Mamun, the lone arrestee and an approver in the crimes against humanity case, under tight security measures.

He is expected to be produced before the tribunal in connection with the case.

The three-member Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder, is scheduled to announce the judgement Monday afternoon.
