Iqbal Hossain, 24, a student of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) who went missing after slipping at Nafakhum waterfall during a trip to Bandarban, has been found dead.
RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr SM Abdul Razzaq has expressed deep sorrow on behalf of the RUET family at the untimely death of Iqbal. These details were provided in a press release issued by the RUET Public Relations Office on Monday.
Iqbal Hossain was a student of the 2019–2020 academic session (2019 series) in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at RUET.
Iqbal went missing on Friday at around 4pm after slipping and falling at Nafakhum waterfall while travelling in Bandarban. He remained missing for more than 36 hours before his body was recovered.
