A fire broke out in a jute sack warehouse in Tongi, Gazipur, causing significant damage. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning in the Jute Sack Area (Goru Hata) of Tongi Bazar.
Several warehouses’ goods were destroyed by the blaze. Upon receiving the report, three units of the Tongi Fire Service worked for nearly an hour to bring the fire under control.
Shahin Alam, senior station officer of the Tongi Fire Service, said that the fire service personnel managed to control the fire after almost an hour of effort.
However, the cause of the fire and the extent of the loss could not be confirmed.
No casualties have been reported in connection with the incident.
