Medical technologists and pharmacists in Mymensingh observed a two-hour work stoppage on Sunday demanding elevation to the 10th grade.
From 9am to 11am, they staged the work stoppage through a protest gathering in front of the administrative building of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
During the program, medical technologists and pharmacists of the hospital suspended their duties and joined the protest.
They announced that if their demand is not met, they will observe a four-hour work stoppage on Wednesday, from 8am to 12pm.
Movement leader and medical technologist Monir Hossain said: “We have long been protesting for the 10th grade. As our legitimate demand remains unaddressed, we observed this two-hour work stoppage. If the demand is not fulfilled promptly, we will be compelled to announce even tougher programs.”
