The severity of cold is gradually increasing in Panchagarh.

After hovering around 13 degrees Celsius for last several , the minimum temperature dropped further to 11.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the lowest temperature of the current season, according to media sources.

The entire upazila was covered with a thick fog till 7AM.

Earlier on November 23, the lowest temperature in Tentulia dropped to 12 degrees Celsius. Since then, the minimum temperature has been fluctuating between 14 and 15 degrees Celsius.

Rickshaw-puller Fayzul Islam of Jalashipara area of the city said, ”I am feeling cold from Sunday evening. For the past few days, it has been very cold from evening to morning every day and the area remains foggy at night.”

Jitendranath Roy, acting officer of Tentulia Meteorological Office, said that the lowest temperature of the current winter season of 11.7 degrees Celsius was recorded at 9AM.
