In the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has collected the nomination form for the Thakurgaon-1 constituency.

On Thursday afternoon, Nur-e-Shahadat Sazon, former joint vice president of the district BNP, collected the form on behalf of Mirza Fakhrul from the district election office.

Confirming the matter, District Election Officer Md Waliullah said: “The nomination form has been collected in the name of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. A representative collected it on his behalf.”

News of the nomination form collection has generated enthusiasm and discussions among BNP leaders, activists, and supporters in Thakurgaon-1. The area has long been considered a political stronghold of Mirza Fakhrul.

Nur-e-Shahadat Sazon remarked: “Following the Secretary General’s instructions, I collected the nomination form on his behalf. He has tirelessly served the party for many years, and we believe voters in Thakurgaon-1 have great confidence in him.”

Earlier, on November 3, during a press conference at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the party’s list of candidates for 237 constituencies in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, including his nomination for Thakurgaon-1.
