A total of 190 people were hospitalized with dengue across the country in the last 24 hours, while no deaths were reported during the period.
The information was disclosed on Saturday in a dengue update issued by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the DGHS, among the newly admitted patients, 83 were hospitalized in Chittagong Division, 37 in Dhaka Division (Outside the city corporations), 39 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 17 in Dhaka North City Corporation, and 23 in Mymensingh Division.
During the same period, 190 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals, raising the total number of recoveries this year to 176,000.
Since the beginning of the year, a total of 101,597 people have been infected with dengue nationwide. Of them, 62.5 percent are male and 37.5 percent female.
The DGHS data also showed that dengue has claimed 410 lives in the country so far this year.
In 2024, the country recorded 101,214 dengue cases, while 575 people died from the mosquito-borne disease.
