Senior leaders of the BNP have paid tribute at the National Martyrs’ Memorial on behalf of acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, after he was unable to arrive before sunset.
On Friday evening, the BNP Media Cell stated that since it was not possible to reach the National Martyrs’ Memorial platform before sunset, the tribute was offered at 5:06pm on behalf of Tarique Rahman by BNP Standing Committee members Gayeshwar Roy, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Adviser Council member Amanullah Aman, and Lutfozzaman Babar.
Additionally, the tribute was attended by Dhaka District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury, Dr Dewan Md Salauddin, Tamijuddin, Yasin Ferdous Murad, Ayub Khan, Major General (Retd) Fazle Elahi Akbar, and Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.
