The government has reduced the prices of all types of fuel oil by Tk2 per litre, effective from Thursday.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD)
on Thursday.
According to the release, fuel oil prices in Bangladesh are adjusted every month under the revised automatic pricing formula, in line with fluctuations in the global market.
For January, the price of diesel has been reduced by Tk2 from Tk104 to Tk102 per litre. Octane has been cut by Tk2 from Tk124 to Tk122 per litre, petrol from Tk120 to Tk118 per litre, and kerosene from Tk116 to Tk114 per litre.
The revised prices will come into effect from January 1, the release added.
