In a move to enhance the quality of education and research, Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU) has inaugurated new laboratories and classrooms in three departments.

The facilities were formally inaugurated on Thursday afternoon by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Hossain Uddin Shekhar. The newly constructed laboratories and classrooms have been set up for the Departments of Pharmacy, Civil Engineering and Architecture.

Among those present at the inauguration were Dr Tarikul Islam, chairman of the Department of Pharmacy; Ohona Arefin, chairman of the Department of Civil Engineering; and Tanha Tabassum Tisha, chairman of the Department of Architecture. Proctor Dr Arifuzzaman Rajib, Director of the Student Counselling and Guidance Office Md Badrul Islam, University Engineer SM Eskandar Ali, and other officials were also in attendance.

University authorities expressed optimism that the new facilities would significantly contribute to improving academic activities and strengthening research opportunities for students and faculty members.
