After a two-year break, popular Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas is set to return to the silver screen. She will appear in a completely new look and different get-up in the thriller “Durbar”, directed by Kamrul Hasan Fuad. The actress herself said that audiences would see her in the film with an intense and dynamic screen presence that matches the spirit of the title.
Shooting of the film is progressing at a fast pace. Apu Biswas said that around 40% of her portions had already been completed and the remaining work would be wrapped up soon. She added that the film contains many surprises and that viewers would be able to enjoy a well-crafted story.
Speaking about facing the camera again after a long break, Apu Biswas said that cinema remains the core of her identity and that she is who she is today because of films. She noted that all the love she has received from audiences has come through this medium and expressed her happiness at returning, even if late, with a quality film.
In Durbar, Apu Biswas will be seen opposite small-screen popular actor Sajal for the first time. She expressed her excitement about the new pairing, describing Sajal as extremely humble and a very talented actor whose work she admires. She said their working experience had been very positive from the first day and added that audiences would see them together in a new light. She also referred to Sajal as her dream hero.
The actress further said that she has no regrets about returning to cinema after a delay. She explained that she took time in search of good work and that the film has been shaping up exactly the way she had wanted.
