Mahfuj Alam and Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan have resigned from their posts as advisers to the interim government.
A source at the Chief Adviser’s Office confirmed the matter to the media on Wednesday evening.
Mahfuj Alam and Asif Mahmud were appointed as advisers to the interim government as representatives of the student leaders who spearheaded the July uprising.
Mahfuj had been serving as adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, while Asif Mahmud had been the adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
