As part of its humanitarian commitment and corporate social responsibility, Bangladesh Cable Shilpa Limited (BCSL) has organised a winter clothing distribution programme for cold-stricken and underprivileged people in Khulna.

Following directives from the company’s board of directors, the initiative began at 10pm on Tuesday and continued late into the night across several areas, including Khulna Railway Station, New Market area, Khalishpur New Road, Daulatpur Railway Station, Phultala Railway Station and Noapara Railway Station in Jessore. Winter clothes were distributed among disadvantaged and poor communities in these locations to help them cope with the biting cold.

On Wednesday morning, BCSL further distributed blankets among local underprivileged people at its head office premises in Khulna, extending support amid the ongoing cold wave.

The programme was attended by BCSL Managing Director Md Shahidul Islam, along with all general managers, senior officials of the organisation, and the CBA president and general secretary. Speakers at the event emphasised the importance of corporate-led humanitarian initiatives in reducing the suffering of winter-affected people and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continuing similar welfare activities in the future.

Local residents warmly welcomed the initiative, while beneficiaries expressed sincere gratitude to Bangladesh Cable Shilpa Limited. The programme has been widely praised as a significant example of the company’s dedication to social responsibility and its efforts to strengthen a positive image in society.
