The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Monday announced the final 23-member national women’s team squad for the upcoming tri-nation series, scheduled to kick off on Wednesday.
Malaysia and Azerbaijan are the other two participating nations.
All matches will be held at the National Stadium in Dhaka from November 26 to December 2.
Head coach Peter Butler has kept the squad largely unchanged from the group that travelled to Thailand for two FIFA friendlies in Bangkok at the end of October. There is only one alteration: breakout SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship 2025 star Mamoni Chakma has been included in place of defender Ruma Akter.
Afeida Khandaker will continue to captain the side, which lost both of its matches in Thailand but now has a chance to bounce back in front of the home crowd.
The squad had been training in Chattogram before returning to Dhaka on Sunday.
The tri-nation series, organized by the BFF, is part of Bangladesh’s preparation for their historic debut at the AFC Women’s Asian Cup, which will be held in Australia next year.
The federation has named Bangladesh’s campaign “Mission Australia,” supported by Infinix.
