The official jersey of the Bangladesh junior hockey team for the FIH Men’s Junior World Cup 2025 was launched in Dhaka on Sunday.

The tournament, featuring 24 countries, will be held in Tamil Nadu, India, from November 28 to December 10.

The jersey was unveiled during an official photo session at the Falcon Hall of the Air Force, marking the team’s preparations for the event.

Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, Chief of Air Staff and President of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation, was the chief guest at the ceremony. He encouraged the players to compete with confidence.

Senior officials from the Air Force, National Sports Council, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and members of the Hockey Federation were also present.

Representing Asia, Bangladesh will join India, China, Japan, Korea, and Oman in the tournament. The team is drawn in Pool ‘F’ alongside France, Australia, and South Korea, and will face Australia on November 29 at the Chennai ground.

As part of their preparation, the Youth Hockey Team underwent a five-month training camp from July to November.

Lt Col (rtd) Riazul Hasan, general secretary of the Hockey Federation ad-hoc committee, said the team will depart for India on November 18. He also confirmed that the junior boys will play two friendly matches against Chile and Switzerland before the World Cup begins.
