Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of the interim government, held a meeting with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizen Party (NCP).

The meeting began on Saturday around 12:30pm at the state guesthouse, Jamuna.

Two representatives from each of the three political parties attended the meeting. According to sources, important political issues were discussed.

From the BNP, the delegation included Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed and retired Major Hafizuddin Ahmed. From Jamaat-e-Islami, the attendees were Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar and Assistant Secretary General Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair. From the NCP, the participants were Convenor Nahid Islam and Chief Organizer (Southern Region) Hasnat Abdullah.
