Prof Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, special assistant to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus in charge of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with the rank of State Minister, has stepped down from his post.
According to a gazette notification issued by the Cabinet Division, President Mohammed Shahabuddin accepted his resignation letter.
On November 10 last year, the government had appointed him as a special assistant to the Chief Adviser.
