Charge sheets have been submitted in 106 cases related to various incidents across the country during the July uprising, including 31 murder cases and 75 under other legal provisions, the Police Headquarters confirmed Tuesday evening.

Sources at the Police Headquarters said the 31 murder cases involve incidents in Pabna, Sirajganj, Bogra, Dhaka, Narayanganj, Comilla, Chandpur, Feni, Kurigram, and Sherpur, as well as cases handled by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, Chittagong Metropolitan Police, and Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The 75 cases under other sections originate from Pabna, Sirajganj, Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Naogaon, Bogra, Dhaka, Narayanganj, Narsingdi, Tangail, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Sherpur, Jamalpur, Mymensingh, and Barguna districts, along with PBI, CID, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Barishal Metropolitan Police, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, Chittagong Metropolitan Police, and Rangpur Metropolitan Police.

Senior police officers are supervising the investigations to ensure proper handling of all incidents related to the July uprising. Authorities are also working to complete investigations in the remaining cases and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Additionally, under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, investigation reports have been submitted to the courts recommending the discharge of 2,830 individuals in 437 cases linked to the July uprising.
