A cocktail explosion occurred inside the Agargaon Passport Office in the capital on Friday night, though no casualties were reported.
According to witnesses, miscreants arrived on a motorcycle and detonated a cocktail near the main gate of the passport office at around 9:30pm before fleeing the scene.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station Md Monirul Islam said police were not immediately informed of the incident and learned about it later.
“Miscreants came on a motorcycle and exploded a cocktail inside the Agargaon Passport Office around 9:30pm before fleeing. No casualties were reported,” he said.
He added that an investigation is underway to identify those involved and bring them to justice.
