An incident of vandalism and arson has taken place at the house at Dhanmondi 32.
A group of people carried out the attack at around 1:30am on Friday.
After news broke of the death of Inqilab Mancha convener Sharif Osman Hadi, a group of protesters who had been demonstrating at Shahbagh marched towards Karwan Bazar. They first set fire to the office of Prothom Alo and later to The Daily Star office.
Another group, chanting various slogans, moved towards Dhanmondi 32, where they set fire to the house of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
