Police have ecovered several firearms from an abandoned, broken grave in Jagadishpur, Begumganj Police Station area of Noakhali.
Begumganj Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md Habibur Rahman told Dhaka Tribune that around 10:30am on Sunday, while cleaning the grave, locals discovered the weapons in a sack. Upon notification, police recovered the firearms from the site.
Police said the recovered items include five newly made locally produced single-barrel guns and one pipe gun. Since the location falls under Chandraganj Police Station of Lakshmipur district, the firearms were handed over there for further investigation.
