With the aim of providing the youth with basic knowledge of banking, cultivating a habit of saving and offering insights into financial management, IFIC Bank has organized a special workshop on financial literacy in Barisal under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank, as part of the “Festival of Youth 2025.”
The workshop, held on November 12 in collaboration with the University of Barisal, took place at the university auditorium.
Presided over by Md Asiqur Rahman, acting chairman of the Department of Accounting & Information Systems, Barisal University, the program was attended by Modhusudan Banik, executive director of Bangladesh Bank, Barisal Office, as chief guest.
Md Imtiaz Ahmad Masum, director, Bangladesh Bank Barisal Office, and Khandaker Anwar Ehtesham, head of branding, communications & corporate affairs of IFIC Bank, were present as special guests.
With participation from more than 150 students, the workshop aimed to enhance the financial knowledge and management skills of young learners.
Md Symum Rezwan from IFIC Bank, served as the resource person and provided guidance on essential financial management practices, professional skill development, and preparation for future technology-driven challenges.
IFIC Bank continues to promote financial literacy across the country, conducting year-round awareness programs in urban, rural, and educational institutions to build a financially informed generation.
