Jahangirnagar University (JU) and the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). 

The renewed agreement was signed on Monday afternoon at the Council Room of the university’s administrative building.

On behalf of Jahangirnagar University, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rab signed the agreement, while Deputy Commandant Brigadier General Mohammad Hafiz Mahmud signed on behalf of BIPSOT. JU’s Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Sohel Ahmed, Acting Registrar Dr. A B M Azizur Rahman, and BIPSOT officials including Senior Instructor-1 Colonel Kazi Nadir Hossain and Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Md. Murad Hossain were also present at the ceremony.

Under the renewed MoU, the two institutions will strengthen collaboration in education, research, and training. The agreement also includes provisions for jointly organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops. Both institutions will support each other through information and data exchange required for research.

Notably, the first MoU between Jahangirnagar University and BIPSOT was signed on April 9, 2015. The renewal marks an expansion of academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.
