Just ahead of the release of “De De Pyaar De 2,” Ajay Devgn stirred up conversation with his candid take on modern relationships.

In a chat with co-star R Madhavan on the BookMyShow YouTube channel, the actor reflected on how the word “love” has become diluted in today’s culture.

“From where I see, it has become more casual than what it was,” Ajay said. “The word love has been used so unnecessarily that it has lost its meaning.”

Madhavan echoed the sentiment, adding that love today feels more like a reflex than a feeling.

“Now every message has a heart emoji with it. All messages just end with ‘love’,” he said, comparing the emotion to the unconditional affection people feel for their pets.

Ajay chimed in with a sharp observation: “The problem is that you love your pets because you know that they won’t ask for anything in return.”

The conversation comes on the heels of Kajol’s viral remark on her show “Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle,” where she suggested marriage should come with a renewal option and an expiry date.

With “De De Pyaar De 2” hitting theatres today, the timing couldn’t be more fitting.

The film stars Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, Meezaan Jafri, and Javed Jaffrey, and promises to explore love, commitment, and everything in between—on screen and off.
