A cocktail explosion occurred near Madhubagh Bridge in Hatirjheel, Dhaka, causing a motorbike to catch fire.
The incident took place around 6pm on Saturday.
Confirming the matter, the Officer-in-Charge of Hatirjheel police station, Md Raju, told Dhaka Tribune that they received reports of a cocktail explosion in the evening.
“As soon as we received the information, a team was dispatched to the scene. However, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident,” he said.
According to police sources, miscreants detonated a cocktail at Madhubagh Bridge on Saturday evening and fled the scene. During the explosion, a motorbike nearby caught fire. No casualties were reported.
