Nahid Islam, convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP) and candidate of the 11-party alliance including Jamaat, has had his nomination for Dhaka-11 (Rampura, Badda, Bhatara) declared valid.
Following scrutiny of nomination papers at the Divisional Commissioner’s office in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, on Saturday, the returning officer confirmed his nomination as valid.
The nomination of Dr MA Qayyum, BNP’s secretary for Small and Cottage Industries, for the same constituency was also declared valid.
Additionally, the NCP announced that the nominations of Jabed Rasin, joint convener of the party for Dhaka-9 (Khilgaon, Mugda, and Manda), and Nasiruddin Patwari, chief coordinator for Dhaka-8 (Motijheel, Paltan, Ramna, and Shahbagh), were also declared valid.
