One patient died, and 240 others were admitted to various hospitals across the country due to dengue fever within 24 hours until 8am on Thursday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)
The deceased was a resident of the Mymensingh Division. With this, the total number of dengue-related deaths this year has risen to 410, while the total number of infections stands at 101,293.
Of the newly hospitalized patients, 36 were from Barishal Division (outside city corporation areas), 20 from Chittagong Division (outside city corporation areas), 57 from Dhaka Division (outside city corporation areas), 59 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 31 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 27 from Mymensingh Division, seven from Rajshahi Division, one from Rangpur Division and one from Sylhet Division.
During the same period, 320 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. So far this year, a total of 99,772 dengue patients have recovered and been discharged.
