The online versions of textbooks for the 2026 academic year have been published (uploaded) on the website of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).
The online editions were formally released on Sunday at a program held at the NCTB auditorium in Motijheel, Dhaka.
It was announced at the event that a total of 647 textbooks—both Bangla and English versions at the primary and secondary levels—will be available in digital format on the NCTB website, www.nctb.gov.bd.
As a result, primary and secondary-level students for the 2026 academic year will be able to access and read the government-provided free textbooks online even before the academic year begins.
At the event, Education Adviser Professor Dr Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar and Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar formally unveiled the online versions of the textbooks on the website.
