A reunion was held for the alumni of Friendship-run schools at the initiative of Friendship, a development partner organization that has been working for a long time to improve the quality of life of the underprivileged people in the remote char areas of Gaibandha and Kurigram.
The reunion was organized at Gaibandha Friendship Center on Sunday.
A total of 124 alumni who studied at Friendship Schools located in different char areas of Gaibandha and Kurigram districts participated in it.
A colorful joy rally was taken out on the occasion of the reunion, in which alumni participated. The rally circled the area around Friendship Center and ended at the same place.
The students participating in the program reminisced about their educational life and highlighted how Friendship’s curriculum has had a positive impact on their personal and social lives. Many said that even though they did not have the opportunity to get a quality education in the remote Char area, Friendship School has opened new horizons in their lives.
The reunion ceremony was attended by the Senior Director of Friendship, Head of Education Program, Brigadier General Ilyas Iftekhar Rasul, Deputy Director Reza Ahmed, Team Leader of Education Program Neamatullah Tasnim, and Senior Regional Manager Anwarul Islam.

Meanwhile, in addition to various day-long events, various activities were held at the reunion ceremony to exchange experiences, share memories and strengthen mutual communication.
This was followed by a cultural program.
In this, former students showcased their talents through songs, dances, poetry recitations, and group performances.
