Sylhet Gas Fields Limited (SGFL), a leading gas and petroleum-producing company under Petrobangla, recorded revenue of Tk 27.40 billion in the fiscal year 2024–25.

The revenue was generated from the production, processing and sale of natural gas and petroleum products, including condensate, petrol, diesel, kerosene, octane, natural gas liquids (NGL) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The information was disclosed at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), held recently at the conference room of the Petrobangla Centre at SGFL’s Dhaka liaison office.

The AGM was chaired by Abu Mansur Md Fayez Ullah, chairman of the board of directors and former secretary. Petrobangla Chairman Md Rezanur Rahman, members of the board, shareholders, Managing Director Engineer Md Abdul Jalil Pramanik and senior officials of the company were present.

According to a press release, SGFL deposited Tk 8.77 billion to the national exchequer during the fiscal year in the form of supplementary duty, VAT, income tax, dividends and DSL.

During the same period, the company posted a net profit after tax of Tk 5.39 billion, the release said.
