BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has called a standing committee meeting on Thursday evening following interim government head Dr Muhammad Yunus’s statement on the implementation of the July Charter.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7pm at the Gulshan political office.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said: “An urgent BNP standing committee meeting will be held at the Gulshan chairperson’s office at 7pm today. BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will preside over the meeting.”
It is understood that the party will discuss and decide its position on the implementation process of the July Charter. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir may issue an official response after the meeting.
