BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, will return to the country soon.
He made this comment on early Tuesday while speaking to journalists after the BNP Standing Committee’s regular meeting.
Earlier that night, the meeting of the party’s highest policymaking body, the National Standing Committee, was held at the party office. Tarique Rahman joined the meeting virtually from London and presided over the session.
In response to a question, Salahuddin Ahmed said that the meeting discussed the physical condition of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia as well as the latest political developments.
