Three policemen, including a sub-inspector, were injured in an attack on them at Parshuram upazila of Feni on Friday.
The injured are identified as SI Munna Dey, constable Nazmul and constable Ruhul Amin.
Police said that the incident took place around 10:30 am in South Kolapara area when they went to the house of Faruk Majumdar to investigate an allegation of harassment of 46-year-old woman brought against Faruk’s sons—Imam Hossain Faisal (28) and Rajib Majumdar (32).
While returning, policemen were attacked by Rajib, Imam Hossain, and Faruk.
Confirming the incident, Parshuram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Nurul Hakim said the injured received primary treatment at the Parshuram Upazila Health Complex. Legal action is underway against the attackers.
